The River Tone runs through the centre of Taunton, but the town often seems to turn its back and ignore this vital life force.
Local wise woman and river pilgrim Jane Embleton will lead a multi-sensory riverbank walk through the town, meeting the river as a dynamic source of inspiration and wisdom. She will share ways to connect with our own watery and creative flows and blocks.
A preview of Tonal with artist Feral Practice
Over the last several months Feral Practice has been walking and talking with people who have distinctive relationships with water and the river - from the Environment Agency’s Director of Water to volunteers who survey otter populations. They will preview the project, including a website hosting the interviews and crafted audio work.
The final event in a series of four curated by FCDI bursary artist Feral Practice sharing creative ways to green and enliven the workplace. Inspired by the name Firepool, the events are themed for the four elements of earth, fire, air and water.
